No Mock Trial this year

October 21st, 2008 at 10:29 pm, 4 weeks ago

So, I’m not doing Mock Trial this year… A few non-confrontation non-controversial nothing-necessarily-I-did events got in the way.

Well, if someone drops out this winter I may have a spot, but that isn’t looking like it is going to happen.

This is the second major extra-curricular that has gone sour this year, the first being the school newspaper (which was basically my choosing) and now Mock Trial. And I was genuinely excited about Mock Trial and am genuinely… sad… that things won’t work out.

Anyways, I have other things to keep me occupied. Like school.

Yay, something I submitted to Fark & Reddit was posted

October 3rd, 2008 at 3:00 pm, 7 weeks ago

I posted a screencap of MSNBC to ImageShack and then submitted it to Fark and Reddit. Got tens of thousands of views. Pretty cool.

Here’s the source video (where the guys who did the prank have commented):

Here is the imageshack photo:

Here are the originals:

Update: Some DJs put my picture on a TV morning show (probably after seeing it on Fark.) Damn, I should have watermarked that picture. I would have a few thousand new hits :)

Give me $9 Million! I want to launch a car into LEO

September 24th, 2008 at 3:19 am, 8 weeks ago

Turns out for $9.1 million USD you can launch 1.1 tons of whatever-the-hell-you-want into Low Earth Orbit.

Although that may piss off the people at NASA’s Orbital Debris Program. But what do they know, they just want to prevent useless junk from hitting the international space station at amazing speeds.

On an unrelated note, I have been getting email notifications when NASA publishes another ‘Orbital Debris Quarterly.’ I have no idea why I signed up for such an email alert, perhaps so I could pass along to you the wonder that is the Orbital Debris Quarterly Newsletter

I want to go to Alaska

September 10th, 2008 at 1:08 am, 6 months ago

I keep watching the Sarah Palin coverage and I have to admit the shitshow is becoming is more and more entertaining as the days go by.

And I have come to one conclusion: I really want to go to Alaska

I mean, Alaska. Where you can shoot guns (hell yeah!) and eat moose (less hell yeah, unless you can kill em with big guns, then hell yeah!)

The weather sucks, and it costs a bit to go there, but where else can you go where the governor of a state with one of the highest incidences of race and incest wanting to charge women who are raped for the rape kits. A governor who is running for vice president and will have Air Force Two on constant alert to go back to Alaska in the event of the rapture.

I don’t know, but I know Alaska is that state. And Palin is that governor.

Howard Dean on The Daily Show from Denver

August 27th, 2008 at 10:48 pm, 7 months ago

Alright, the guest tonight on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was DNC Chairman Howard Dean. And there was a significant delay between the Pepsi Center and Stewart’s set.

Only thing is, Stewart is filming at the University of Denver, 8 MILES AWAY

Now there is a bunch of security around the Pepsi Center… Like 4 layers of security, security… But he is the fucking DNC Chairman and they own that town. They have the security so tied up out there he could have a federal escort to the Daily Show set and back in 10 minutes…

Doesn’t make any sense to me.
