Army Letting Amputee Soldiers Back Into Combat
The US Army has decided to let soldiers with amputated limbs back into active duty.
Now my first thought was: Damn, that is harsh.
Then I thought: Damn, what a good idea.
See, with advancements in prosthetics it is possible for people with missing limbs to be just as mobile as their counterparts in the army. They probably can’t go on patrol throughout Baghdad, but doing other jobs is easy and they would still be serving their country.
The program is opt-in-only, but hey… if you dedicated your life (and limbs) to the army, and you want to stay with it, cool
