A Gun Toting Liberal
Now The NRA’s upper-echelon is comprised of mostly idiots. Some of them are just nuts. Conceal and carry laws aren’t that effective and creep me out. BUT I like guns. I play Counter-Strike: Source, I want to shoot a gun at a gun range and get a good aim, and I like the idea of having a few old guns in my house for display. My parents are against guns, which is ironic because both of their families have hunting as a tradition.
So here is the type of liberal I am: You have the right to own a gun (with license, if you are not a felon). You have the right to shoot that gun on your property to protect yourself (or, if local municipalities allow, play redneck shoot at empty beer cans) . You have the right to take that gun to a range and shoot to your hearts content.
It is also your right to be protected from other people’s guns. So I like the no felon/mentally unstable laws. Makes sense. The waiting period makes sense too, as does the registration. A gun is expensive, it should be a wise well-thought-out investment anyways…
