This is when the President and First Lady make jokes about themselves in front of the press core. It is a fun evening had by all and it can be quite humorous. Laura was noted for saying: ‘I am a Desperate Housewife’ [noting the show]. ‘But I can’t stop thinking about this quote from our nation’s first lady [about Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice]:
“Condi is the person you see on television with the nice hair, and then there’s Leezza, the one with her hair wrapped up on the phone with her girlfriends watching BET (Black Entertainment Television).”
