I hear that NBC, FOX, and CBS all cut away from President Bush’s primetime address to the nation to get to their May Sweeps programing. I missed the (rarely seen) conference, so I will limit my words.

I am aware that Bush is now considering the “Progressive Indexing” plan brought up by a moderate in front of the committee researching the future of Social Security. Progressive Indexing, as I have seen, is a rather moderate way of dealing with the issue. Perhaps looking into this further would be worthwile. The AARP says (about progressive indexing) “Over Our Dead Bodies.” Bah, maybe they should have gotten their members to vote for Kerry in 2004.
