Those crazy Wisconsin liberals
Infighting has marred many of the grassroots movements over the past few years. I still think that Howard Dean got nocked off of the ticket by some scheming in the upper-ranks of the DNC. So I shouldn’t be suprised when I get an email about how the former dean people were ambushed when they were about to endorse a candidate to run the state party that was not a front-runner.
The most ironic thing, and I don’t know all the facts so I won’t point too many fingers, is that Mike Tate (a Whitefish Bay grad, former president of the College Dems, and Wisconsin campaign manager for Howard Dean) was quoted in the article as approving this type of action. To be fair, he is staff on the committee working to get the popular-guy elected chair.
I will see Mike later today, but honestly I don’t think it will come up. Bah!
